Almost there

We made it to Lisbon on a surprisingly comfortable Tap 76 flight on 'monkey class', as we say in Danish, seats 32 H & J, with unusual legroom and thick fluffy bright red blankets. Before the flight and already checked it, sitting in our Rio de Janeiro lounge, courtesy of Diner's, we had an initial scare when Tripcase announced our flight was cancelled, but it was apparently only a glitch. Ignoring the siren call of the individual screen in back of the seat in front of out, showing Blue Jasmine and other tempting things, we managed to forego dinner and just sleep through. I woke up to his scenario
- we must have been passing North Africa, because shortly thereafter I saw the brightly lit curvaceous Canary Islands.  As we neared Lisbon the sun rose and, with Oswaldo now awake, we contemplated the furthermost part of the European continent remembering wonderful stays there.
As always, located in Rio de Janeiro we're just really far away.

Then followed a very long wait in line for passport control, where the policia federal had just gone on strike (there's always something), but once through , we headed for the Lisbon Lounge and settled down with snacks, the free wifi and, eventually, a good long nap. We're waiting now for our 4pm departure for Sevilla, where we'll join up with other Brazilian logicians (olhe que diferente) and be collected in Sevilla, with a later outing for tapas arranged. We're just fine, bolstered by excellent (free) white wine and ready for the adventure ahead.

  1. Sounds as though your forbearance served you well .... as well as your layover wine and snacks. A good way to make the time change.
